This is partly a thank you card to my girlfriend Krystal for getting me an awesome Christmas gift - my first SureFire flashlight. Thank you, I am the proud owner of SureFire E2e #A232163.

This isn't my first bright flashlight of course, but my pocket light was very beat up and needed replacing. Now I have something even better, and smaller.

The wind is making some loud and scary sounds. I keep hearing thudding and banging with every gust. The sound it makes in the trees almost sounds like waves crashing. I'm sure it's been doing this for a while, but the annoying fan in my UPS was covering it up.

NOTE: I am going to keep my wireless (802.11g) network online as long as possible. I don't know what kind of backups Comcast has. If you are in my area, and you have a laptop or pda, come on by my house and you can get online from the street. If I really like you I might even let you in. OK, if you're reading this, I'd probably let you in. You should have access anywhere on the upper part of 30th Ave NE, between 115th St NE and the crest of the hill to the north.

There seem to be widespread power outages in Seattle. We just got slammed by a big wind storm, supposedly there are gusts in excess of 60MPH in some areas. SCL (Seattle City Light) is reporting that approximately 85,000 customers are without power. My grid has gone down twice in the past couple weeks, the first time due to the snow storm, and just a couple days ago (Wednesday) in the morning for some mild winds. Anyway, the power has been out for a little over an hour and my large UPS is hovering between 2 and 3 out of 5 "battery" lights. I don't think I can put up with it's incessant beeping much longer, I am going to switch to a straight deep-cycle battery/inverter solution so that I can get some sleep...and wake up in the morning.

Idea proposed by [info]seattlegurl:
Who wants to make/sign a card of sorts, or maybe just a card for Krystal?

I'm having a birthday party on Saturday, April 8th. Standard LAN guidelines apply...bring your own computer, but you don't have to, no drugs or alcohol. Most of us have cars now, so transportation shouldn't be an issue. If you need a ride, let me know, and I'll figure it out. Bring money for food if you can. If you want to bring gifts or something, here is a list of stuff I want. Don't worry about it if you can't or don't want to get me anything though.

"Once upon a time, there was an aardvark whose only pleasure in life was
driving from his suburban bungalow to his job at a large brokerage house
in his brand new 4x4. He hated his manipulative boss, his conniving and
unethical co-workers, his greedy wife, and his snivelling, spoiled
children. One day, the aardvark reflected on the meaning of his life and
his career and on the unchecked, catastrophic decline of his nation, its
pathetic excuse for leadership, and the complete ineffectiveness of any
personal effort he could make to change the status quo. Overcome by a
wave of utter depression and self-doubt, he decided to take the only
course of action that would bring him greater comfort and happiness: he
drove to the mall and bought imported consumer electronics goods.

MORAL OF THE STORY: Invest in foreign consumer electronics manufacturers."

I have the interest in pixel. Monster display. Should fruit exceed ability, use HP. 701cm more is the correct display. Numbers in interface are more than the analog, this is good.

Hi. I should be sleeping but I wanted to test Graffiti 2 and LJ in "Blazer" web browser. I certainly like Graffiti better than the PocketPC handwriting recognition software. OK, sleepytime...night all.
